Love Jungle is a quirky mix of styles and tastes shared by guitarist Neil Darby and singer Angela Huggins. Neil and Angela have been friends and worked together on different projects for many years and have developed a song writing partnership based on mutual inspiration.

Angela's versatile vocals style ranges from metal to jazz, pop, opera and soul while her most obvious feature reference point include Alanis Morisette, Chrissie Hynde, Sinead O'Connor, Annie Lennox, Everything But The Girl and Texas. But the Love Jungle sound has it's own distinctive mood built around Angela's soaring vocals and Neil's individual guitar style.

Love JungleThe Band liked to gig as often as possible but tended to concentrate on recording and song writing. They attracted immediate interest from major record companies, however, they chose to release an album on Sugar Shack Records entitled Welcome to the house where the extras are free.

Love Jungle continued to gain exposure and gigged extensively to promote their debut album. Angela's image remained the focal point for the band. With every costume she wore she became a different character taking on a completely new persona. She customised second-hand clothes creating garments with an almost historical elaboration combining tartans, paisley, velvets and lace and nearly always a hat.

The album released in 1988 was incredibly well received by the British music press and Love Jungle recorded the follow up record, a single called Make me special. The song was written about Angela's experience on "Jim'll fix it" as a 9 year old. Love Jungle were featured in NME, Sounds, Melody Maker, Record Mirror and Music Week.
